“IMA READ THAT BITCH”:
An international video art screening, with a special focus on queer/ trans/postcolonial/decolonial/non-western politics of contemporary feminist thought(s).
Sunday 8. March
18:00 to 22:00
Join us at Small Projects on Sunday 8 March, for the one night screening of “IMA READ THAT BITCH”, a video art programme, curated by a group of independent, international artists, currently living, and practicing, in Tromsø, Norway. The programme will feature video works from South Africa, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Canada and Germany.
“IMA READ THAT BITCH” is a showcase of video works that we, the curators, consider to be meaningful articulations of our individual experiences, and understandings, of what it means to be a feminist, today. The programme will also include the first part of an anthology publication towards an education on intersectional feminism, in flux.
“IMA READ THAT BITCH”’ is the first installment in an ongoing series of events focused on creating awareness, and facilitating a collective education, on the various theoretical and practical forms of feminism active in the world today.
